I go this for my husband for Easter, he loves to watch all of Joel Salatin's videos. I thought he was going to cry when he opened it. He was so excited and I don't know if I can handle one more..."well Joel Salatin says...". I think he is my husbands man-crush and he loves the book.

Good agribusiness philosophy. Little actuality and dirty hands information. Good for abstract planning visionaries. Not much for thinking hands-on doers. Suggest other Salatin compositions for application and actual planning and practice.

Awesome. Very complete. Its not just the tangible needs of being in business but the emotional and spiritual and mental. Its about skills and passions. Great book!

Good read, The first 30 or so pages were a little hard to get through. It is a good read for someone looking at starting a small farming operation. You do have to take some of the information with a grain of salt. This is not the end all of farming books, but the information is good. I am glad I ordered and read the book. I will order and read some of his other books.

This is a GREAT follow-up to 'Your Successful Farm Business.' For those concerned with how 'idealistic' Mr. Salatin was in that book, 'Your Successful Farm Business' addresses how to start and maintain a viable Farming enterprise in the 21st century.

Very practical ideas. I appreciate Joel's down-to-earth approach of what works for him, tried and true concepts along with some new innovative ideas.

The man closest to the ground, Planet-wide, teaching and learning wherever he goes, brings the land-regenerating tribe up to date on all he has gleaned from Polyface in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley as well as hundreds of farm visits and thousands of conversations around the world. If you aspire to caretake land and have only one mentor it had better be Salatin.

My first read of his and I will be purchasing his others shortly. I am interested in learning as much as possible about starting a small farm and after several books this has been the most thought provoking by far.
