If you loved "Foyle's War", you will love the beautifully produced book - if you can still find it. I have the second edition, which takes us through Season 6 and the end of the Second World War - so none of the Cold War secret service stuff. The book contains a nice summary of each episode. Each episode is based on mounds of historical research and fascinating essays share this research with us. I contacted the published in England to find out whether there would with a third edition that would include the Cold War episodes and they responded that there would not a new edition or an additional reprint of the second edition because of lack of demand. What a pity! I ended up overpaying for a used copy of this beautiful book, but it was worth it!

We are Foyle's War fanatics! We have watched all of the shows and visited Hastings two years ago to see the location. We stayed in a great B&B two blocks from Foyle's home. The book does a great job capturing the location and story background. If you like Foyle you will like this book.

My husband Mr Picky found no fault with this series and it's background. Usually, I might hear, those cars were not used in that period, etc. So as usual kudos to the BBC for getting it right. Mr Foyle you are the Bomb!

I have bought three of these beautiful books for 3 Foyle Fans. Each recipient was delighted. I count myself among the Foyle Fans & also have enjoyed this beautiful book along with my husband. The book fills in the Foyle Saga completely and the historical facts also add to one's reading pleasure. I highly recommend this interesting, well researched book!

This book added to my enjoyment of the the Foyle's War BBC series. The book is primarily a history book that provides insights into the lives of the English during World War II. Various incidents related to the specific events that occured in the series are documented here.
