I just had a hard time putting this one down. Every chance I got I was reading it....on my break at work....waiting in line at the store...waiting for class to start...in bed at night. I enjoyed reading about the bond between Kress and Render. Loved the interactions between the seventeens and hope the author sheds more light on the New Order conspiracy and how Kress and gang are going to affect things.

Book 1 had errors throughout and was a fun read. The characters and plot are ew to me, but it was slow to start and was somewhat predictable. The characters where naive for living in a world where there is not much. I am not sure if I'll read book 2.

If you're a fan of Hunger Games and Divergent you'll enjoy this one as well. A huge fan of this genre, I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next one the series. I did receive this book for free and this is my voluntary review.

Recruit is another dystopian look at how we could end up if we did have an E attack. So, much is familiar and much is a gig on my subconscious thoughts as to where we humans will be in the future. Caveman or AI ruled?

While it read like a few different dystopian stories it does have a voice of its own. With a nice interesting lead of charactets, this is a woth while tead!

SPOILER ALERT!The novel was grinding along in a way reminiscent of The Hunger Games when the author decided to "take it to the next level (of sadism and bad taste). I won't taint the incident involving TERK but my read ended right there. Full Stop.

Say what you will about YA Dystopian novels, especially trilogies, but they’ll always be great fun. This one pulls from a few of my favorite series, but manages to be its own entity as well. Kress is a wonderfully strong female lead, who like most teenage girls, should probably not worry about the boy so much, but still is her own woman. I see the inevitable triangle with Brohn and Card, but I’m okay with that. Of course, I always want to pick one over the other in the beginning and I almost always end up changing my mind, so I’ll hold off on making a call on that one. The idea of teens being pitted against each other, having abilities, sorted into sects, is not a new one, but it’s still a fun escape. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next books.I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

I received this ARC and loved the story. This is a story about surviving in a dystopian world; it test your very soul. This story is full of mystery, horror, twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. When Kress and the others turn sixteen her world turns upside down and her survival instincts kick in. This story will keep you hooked to each page, screaming at the characters and it will keep you captivated by each unique character and how they deal with what they must endure. There is a cliffy that will make you wish for more, since there are so many unanswered questions. I really enjoyed reading this book and can't wait until the next.
